Boston Garden was a multi-purpose arena in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. It was built in 1928 as Boston Madison Square Garden by boxing promoter Tex Rickard, who also built the third [l240090] in New York. It was home of the Boston Bruins (National Hockey League) and Boston Celtics (National Basketball Association) as well as a boxing venue, concert hall and political rallies.
It was replaced by [l1229120] (as [l541900]) in 1995 and demolished in 1998.
