Börje Forsberg established Black Mark Production in 1991 as an extreme metal label releasing a variety of mainly European bands.

From 1991 until the late nineties, the label's headquarter was located in Berlin, Germany. After that, they moved back to Sweden - the label now operates from the Villa Hammerheart in Bruzaholm.

The year 2001 brought changes in the company. The record company [l415835] was created, thus the company logo was changed to Black Mark "Metal for the World" and the label code number was changed to LC 06201: [l2673107]
The company [l415835] has been resuming its releases under the new name to this day.
