Arsenal originated in 1999 as a studio project of Hendrik Willemyns and John Roan and has since evolved into one of the biggest and most exciting Belgian bands.

Whilst rooted in electronic dance music, Arsenal have incorporated numerous other genres, from African and Latin American rhythms to pop and indie rock and have been noted for their "ability to gracefully adopt different styles" (Dazed magazine) into each one of their albums.
