Toronto rocker / singer / songwriter / producer, Alannah Myles spent several years struggling unsuccessfully to secure a Canadian record deal so she and songwriting partner Christopher Ward set their sights south of the border.

Myles recorded a demo and video for the song "Just One Kiss," with Canadian renown cinematographer, Deborah Samuel that got the attention of several US recording companies including Ahmet Ertegun, founder of Atlantic Records and along with top 40 hits she chose for her self-titled 1989 debut album. "Love Is" established her in her home country.
